A former Benfica presidential candidate has publicly called on current club president Rui Costa to secure the signing of Rodrigo Mora, stressing the importance of not missing out on the promising youngster.

In statements to the press, the ex-candidate highlighted Mora’s potential and argued that the forward could become a key figure for the club’s future. “What cannot happen is to let him slip away,” he insisted, urging Benfica’s management to act decisively in the transfer market.
The remarks add further pressure on Rui Costa and the board as they continue to plan reinforcements for the squad ahead of the upcoming challenges.
